Travis Jensen is a father, writer, photographer and skateboarder living and working in San Francisco, California. His writing and photos have appeared in a wide range of print and online publications, including The San Francisco Chronicle, The SF Weekly, The SF Bay Guardian, Vapors Magazine, Slap Skateboard Magazine, Lowcard Skateboarding Magazine and STAF Magazine (Malaga, Spain), among others.
Travis is a member of Caliber SF, a four-person San Francisco-based camera club/blog. The site was voted "San Francisco's Best Art Website" for 2010 by SF Weekly readers. The group also won The SF Bay Guardian's 2010 "Best of The Bay" award for "Best Eyes on The City."
From 2007 through 2009, Travis wrote the “City Sports” column for The San Francisco Chronicle, which appeared weekly in the “96 Hours” section of Thursday’s paper.
Travis has published two books: Left-Handed Stories (2004) and No Comply—Skateboarding Speaks on Authority (2005). Both books have received awards for accomplishments in writing, promotion and publishing. His third book, a novel, currently untitled, is slated for publication in 2011.
