MESSAGE FROM HQ

Greetings Agents:

Let us first start off by saying Happy Holidays and best wishes to all from the Stereo Sound Agency!

2007 marks 15 years of superb service from Stereo with many more to come.  Can you believe Stereo is already 15?  Time flies when you’re having fun and having fun is what Stereo is all about.   Keep your ear open for the celebration sometime in the coming months.

It is OUR time now, fellow Agents.  The scheduled takeover has officially begun!  Before long you will all be receiving detailed instructions from Co-Captains Pastras and Lee on what to do when the sun begins to morph into the shape of our sacred 45 logo.  This will officially mark the beginning of the end for those not onboard.  Shock and awe, Agents!

On that note, please spend some time reading and digesting the enclosed Agency briefing.

Always on your side,

The Minister of Information

TEAM UPDATES

Active held their annual Blingfest on November 18th in beautiful Rancho Cucamonga, and what a turn out it was!  On hand were Stereo’s own Clint Peterson, Benny Fairfax, Dyson Ramones, and Tony Silva.  Thanks to the generosity of Active, a few Agents skated a way with a little more cash than they came with.

Check out www.blingfest.org to see the banging nollie frontside 180° heelflip Agent Silva stuck over the double set at the event, earning himself a crispy c-note.  That’s our man!

A big kiss goodbye for Olly Todd who is on his way back to England for the holidays.  Don't worry, lads, he’ll be back in January.

Danny Supa has an interview scheduled to drop in the next issue of Transworld Skateboarding,  and Danny Renaud has an interview coming out in East Coast based skate mag, Focus.  Make sure to grab a copy of both mags when they hit the stands.  These two Agents have been putting in some serious work as of late!

The Agency’s king of style, Daniel Shimizu, has a new Stereo ad about to drop that is most definitely wall worthy, so get your rulers and exacto-knives ready.

The folks at Vapors Magazine recently featured Co-Captains Chris Pastras and Jason Lee's forthcoming Etnies / Stereo shoes on Page 1 of the FIENDS section of their October / November issue.  The reviews of the shoes thus far are looking good, so be sure to pick-up both pairs when they hit the stores in April.  Not only are the shoes styling, but they will also make you jump higher -- guaranteed!

The two co-captains are also scheduled to have an art and photo show together in late April at the 3131 Gallery/Office in San Francisco, birthplace of our beloved Sound Agency.  You know it’s going to be big, we know it’s going to be big, and we will surely keep you all posted on this event as spring approaches.  For more info, check out www.equaldist.com.

STEREO JOINS AGENDA TRADE SHOW SAN DIEGO

We here at Stereo are thrilled to announce that we will be displaying our highly anticipated ’07 collection at the Agenda Trade Show in San Diego, January 25-27.  With an emphasis on art, music, fashion and skateboarding, the Agenda show is an excellent fit for the Sound Agency.

Be sure to tie a string around your finger reminding you to stop by our booth, because in addition to unveiling our newfangled collection, we will also be exhibiting the art of Agent Peterson and Co-Captains Pastras and Lee.  Refreshments may or may not be served.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

ROSSTAR AND SAGE VAUGHN TEAM UP WITH STEREO

World-renowned artists Rostarr (www.rostarr.com) and Sage Vaughn (www.sagevaughn.com) recently teamed up with the Sound Agency to each create their own Guest Agent Series deck.  We are very pleased with the results and guarantee you will be, too.  Both decks are scheduled to be unveiled with the rest of our ’07 collection at the upcoming Agenda Trade Show.

TOKION MAGAZINES CREATIVITY NOW CONFERENCE

Co-Captains Pastras and Lee recently participated in Tokion Magazine’s “Creativity Now Conference.”  Held on October 14th and 15th at Cooper Union's Historic Great Hall in NYC, the same place where Abraham Lincoln once addressed the nation, the conference consisted of several panel discussions and individual presentations from many top figures in art, design, fashion, photography, film, new media, publishing, and marketing.

In the same room for the first time, the individuals shaping today's popular culture spent two days exchanging their ideas, methods, and inspirations before an audience of over 2,000 people.  The event was an enormous success and is being regarded by many as the definitive yearbook of popular culture for 2006.  For more info checkout www.tokion.com.

Way to go Co-Captains Pastras and Lee!  Agency takeover in full effect!

JACK BLACK ROCKS THE STEREO x ETNIES SHOES!?

Etnies sent us this photos of Jack Black at the world premiere of his new movie "Tenacious D" sporting a pair of the first Stereo/Etnies Co-Captain Pastras shoes!  Not bad, 'eh?

STEREO LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE

As you may or may not have already noticed, our website recently received a very extreme makeover.  We have completely gutted and reworked the entire site from scratch.  Check it out when you get a chance: www.stereosoundagency.com.  There you will find up-to-the-minute Agency news and information (more reliable than CNN), a slew of new video clips and photos, updated team and rider info, and the newly launched online store.  Yes, the wait is over, Agents.  You can now order Stereo products directly off the new site.

Miss the old Stereo site?  Not to worry, you can still find most of the old content in the archives section of the new site.

Can’t sleep and still want more?  Check our newly rebuilt Myspace page at www.myspace.com/stereosoundagency.

FEATURED SOUND AGENT

We have decided to try something new here at Stereo.  Instead of announcing a new contest with each newsletter, going forward we have decided to elect one individual quarterly to be recognized as Stereo’s Featured Sound Agent.

We frequently receive e-mails from Agents all across the globe telling us how hard they represent our beloved Agency, and believe me we read and respond to every single one of them.  But we want to know who out there is truly representing above and beyond the rest.  Is this you?  Send us an e-mail at info@stereosoundagency.com telling us why you should be the next Featured Sound Agent.  The winner will receive a box of Stereo goodies and be formally congratulated in each newsletter.

That said, we are very pleased to announce Agent Ron Tillery from Batavia, NY as our first Featured Sound Agent.  A big round of applause goes out to Agent Ron!

We have been corresponding back and forth with Ron for a while now, but it was the following e-mail he sent us two months back that we got the idea for the Featured Sound Agent contest:

Hey man, I’m sitting here at the terminal getting ready to haul propane down to Tennessee, then into Arkansas.

If Stereo ever has the idea to do a tour, I have my CDL license with Hazmat doubles/ triples and tanker endorsements.  Tell Jason and Dune I will gladly haul the set-up around the country for them.  I’ve been driving tractor trailer for a while now.

Later, Ron

Now that right there is some serious representation, Agents!  Don’t be surprised if you see a big rig fully equipped with propane tanks, ramps, and Stereo banners charging down a freeway near you.

Ron, be on the lookout for a box of Stereo goodies headed your way!

WRAP UP

You have officially been briefed, fellow Agents.  You know what needs to be done.  Always sleep with one eye open and remember to check our website frequently for updates: www.stereosoundagency.com.
