Adjusting to life on the outside

Here we are at week three.  Mucho changes this week.  Not only is Stan significantly bigger -- the boy has reached semi-tank status and is beginning to intimidate his old man, but he’s also starting to better adjust to life on the outside.  His eyes are opening up much wider, he’s awake for longer periods of time during the day and, much to mom and dad’s relief, the nights and days are no longer reversed.  He slept four-and-a-half hours straight last night!

Mom and dad are also beginning to better adjust to having Stan in their lives: mom has pretty much mastered breast-feeding, dad prides himself as a pro at changing diapers and burping, and we’re all around beginning to better understand the little guy as a whole.  Sure, we still push the panic button from time to time, but are starting to feel like we’re getting the hang of this whole parenting business.  Our motto: When all else fails, go for a drive.  Seems to work every time.

Can’t forget to add that none of this week’s progress would have been possible without the help of Stan’s Lola (Grandma Dancel), who has been staying with us the last couple of weeks, teaching us the craft.  It’ll be really sad to see her go next week, but we'll look forward to seeing her again in October.

The below photos are a bouquet of digital and film.

Enjoy!

Can't remember for certain, but most likely this was taken mid-poo.  That's when he looks his best.
