Gettin' there...

It’s going to be a while before I’m finished with this beast, the almighty novel, but I’m getting there, learning the virtue of patience along the way.

I’ve been working on this book (mostly in my head) since late 2004. I think I’ve scrapped three versions to-date, but it’s all starting to come together now, with an end definitely in site.

The story is a nitty-gritty city tale that shows a side of San Francisco that not many know about. A story that takes the reader deep into The City's armpit, a modern day Barbary Coast if you will. A story about hope and survival. A story that's gangster, yet elegant at the same time. And that's all I'm going to say on that for now...
