"Sketchy Cam" Skate Clips...

I shot these two clips with the video feature on my Blackberry Curve a few months back.  I forgot all about them until now.  The quality, as you can see, is sheer crap.  Good thing Ando was on hand to shoot the photos, ‘cause about the only thing the video feature on this phone is good for is capturing the unexpected and unbelievable.  Then again, the quality is so bad that people would still probably question its authenticity.

Moving on…

Here local ripper Jon Jackon executes a flawless nose wheelie nollie flip out at Washington School in The City’s Outer Richmond District.  This manual pad isn’t exactly easy to skate.  The angle on the run up sucks (for both goofy and regular), the part where you get on is knee-high and the end, as you can see, is well over waist-high.

I believe Plan B Skateboards hooks Jon up with product.  Ando told me a funny story once about how Danny Way said he’d give Jon 10k to drop in on the “Mega Ramp.”  Jon declined the offer.  Apparently, the drop in is that gnarly.  And keep in mind, Jon's a guy that’s known for laying down hammers.

Here’s Jon Jackson again busting an ollie over a sketchy channel gap down at China Beach in The City’s Sea Cliff neighborhood.  I can’t remember the dude’s name that ollies the gap behind him, but he also rips. It may not look like it, but this gap was nearly impossible to skate.  Not only was the ground sandpaper rough, but the landing was super sketchy and steep.  Look how fast these guys are going when they land.  The girl parading around in the mini skirt in the background is some weird Asian car model chick that happened to show up while we were skating.  She was there shooting pictures for her modeling portfolio.  Funny thing is, the weather was terrible for shooting pics, especially glamour shots.  Not only that, but it was barely pushing 50 degrees.  I can only imagine how cold she was.  I was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and beanie and still freezing my precious jewels off.
