Brotherhood of the Grape...
So The Mrs. and I ventured to Glen Ellen, just north of Sonoma, this past weekend for a milestone birthday party at our good friends’ family winery and vineyard. We have visited the estate a handful of times in the past, which is without question one of the most relaxing places I've ever been. I'm never quite ready to go home.
Although Audelssa, another small, Glen Ellen based family-owned winery, recently purchased the family’s vines and award-winning Navillus Birney label, some wine is still produced onsite. The family also sells grapes to other local wineries, including Castle Rock, Kendall Jackson and Gloria Ferrer.
The pictures below don't do the estate justice. Not only was the setting on my camera off, but I was far too busy relaxing and having fun to even think about taking pics. Let your imagination fill in the blanks. Just think adult Disneyland.
Special thanks to Rick Sullivan and Jonelle Birney-Sullivan for the hospitality. As always, we had a wonderful time. And Happy Birthday again to Ms. Christine Torok!
